Teresa Perkins teaches an in-person EDL classBy Kelly Stenka

Starting in June 2025, 麻花星空mv鈥檚 Master of Education in Educational Leadership program will introduce a new, flexible course delivery structure, integrating hybrid courses alongside its traditional on-the-ground format. This enhancement is designed to provide a high-quality learning experience while accommodating the evolving needs of today鈥檚 educators.

The program will maintain 12 of its 27 Cadre graduate credit hours in an in-person format, with intensive sessions held in June of the first year and July of the second year. These immersive sessions will take place over ten days, running from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To increase accessibility, the remaining courses during the fall and spring semesters will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining online content with asynchronous Zoom sessions.

鈥淚 am incredibly excited about the innovative, responsive update to how the DU Educational Leadership M.Ed. Cadre Program serves students,鈥 said Teresa G. Perkins 鈥12E, Ed.D., director of the Master of Education in Educational Leadership program, assistant professor and chair of the EDSC Graduate Studies Department. 鈥淐ontinuing the tradition of excellence the EDL Cadre Program holds in schools and communities across the state is unwavering, as we remove barriers for today's educators, regardless of position. This modality update for some of the core Cadre courses is one more way DU鈥檚 M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Program stands apart from others. Here鈥檚 to meeting our students where they are and supporting them as they seek to shine in a variety of roles.鈥

This change reflects Doane鈥檚 commitment to continuous improvement and prioritizing what is best for students while maintaining the program鈥檚 integrity and mission.
