The Chief Standing Bear Project selected Senator Brewer as the recipient for its annual βPrize for Courage,β presented on Indigenous Peopleβs Day, October 9, 2023.

Fort Worth, Texas, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for The Family Place, which serves those affected by domestic violence. Wende serves as a nonprofit consultant for Social Impact Architects after working for more than 14 years at Communities Foundations of Texas.
